  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) Shredded Wheat Crumbs
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) whole wheat flour
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) sugar
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 oz (45 g) dark chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) chopped walnuts


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease three 3/4-cup (175 mL) ovenproof ramekins.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together Shredded Wheat Crumbs, flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together egg, oil, melted chocolate and vanilla. Fold in flour mixture. Transfer batter to prepared ramekins.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until slightly jiggly in centre and sides are set. Let cool slightly on a wire rack, then garnish with chopped walnuts.


  • Sprinkle with sea salt before baking, if desired.
