How Do We Collect And Share Personal Information?

We employ other companies, including, without limitation, certain of our affiliates and subsidiaries and people to perform tasks on our behalf (“Agents”).  We may need to share, and may transfer, your information with them in order to provide products or Services to you (for example, general contests, email campaigns and similar marketing events). Other types of Agents with which we may share Personal Information include organizations providing services to support Post functions, such as contest and campaign data analysis.  Certain other Agents collect Personal Information on our behalf. For example, we use Agents for our career portal. Please be aware that some of these Agents may be located outside of Canada, including within the United States, and as a result your Personal Information may be transferred to the United States.

At times we may share your Personal Information with joint promotion partners who are responsible for fulfilling elements of a promotion.

How Do We Gather Data By Automatic Means?

Sometimes we and/or our Agents use cookie technology, web beacons, and similar technologies on our Websites to enhance functionality and navigation for our visitors, and learn about the use and users of our Websites. In doing so, we analyze trends, administer our Websites and gather information about our user base as a whole.

How Do We Respond To “Do Not Track” Signals?

Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that users can set in their web browsers. Accessing And Changing Your Information, Your Choices

In some cases your rights may be subject to limits set out in the applicable law. If we are unable to satisfy your request, we will provide you with an explanation as to why such request cannot be honoured. Post will respond to reasonable requests in an appropriate time frame.

To help protect against fraudulent requests for access to your personal information, we may ask you for information to allow us to confirm that the person making the request is you or is authorized to access your information before granting access. For example, we may require you to verify your identity before you access your personal information.

If you receive commercial email from us and would like to unsubscribe, you may use the ‘unsubscribe’ link in our commercial email.

Subject to applicable data protection laws, you may request information about our collection, use, disclosure or storage of personal information.

Children’s Privacy

Some portions of our Websites may be directed to kids under 13 (excluding kids under 13 from Quebec). However, we do not knowingly collect personally-identifiable information from kids under 13 on our Websites, except in respect of certain contests. If a child 12 or under enters a contest and is selected to be eligible to win a prize, we will contact the parent (not the child) for prize fulfillment, including obtaining further information needed to award the prize and for any prize delivery.
